The Boxee Box, developed by Boxee and manufactured by D-Link, was a Linux-based set-top device and media extender. It was designed to bring internet television and other video content to your TV via Boxee's software. The Boxee Box was first released on November 10, 2010. However, it had a relatively short lifespan. It was discontinued on October 16, 2012.
Sounds familiar, more so when I saw the logo & device. But I never had one.

Did you know #Boxee ? It was an #XBMC clone for Mac that I used to run on my old white plastic MacBook back in the day and I loved it, that was when the software was in #alpha and tons of new features were being added every week it seemed.
Why am I talking about it now? Well, when ever I open up my work email via #Outlook online, I get to see this tiny thing, a single outline icon, that SCREAMS at me every time I see it.. The one on the left there. 1/2
