It's great that the #bluefield2 is still supported by Nvidia's tools. The only thing I haven't been able to find is the ISO

When I click to download, the file isn't there.

What I'm hoping to find is a sample install.bfb file.

I'd really like to boot the DPU without overwriting the filesystem.

I'm never quite satisfied with the defaults, so I'm building a #bluefield2 install image using this tool.

It appears that it uses qemu to run aarch64 binaries using docker. I don't think I've seen this done before.

In any case, it takes a long time to build.

It's possible to build a couple of distros that I haven't heard of before.

It looks like there are loongarch and riscv versions available

My gift to myself among many this year:

A #Bluefield2 DPU. This is my first DPU so I'm still learning how it works.

I had some issues with it locking up yesterday, and surprise, these are made to be passively cooled by the huge airflow of a server. The heatsink was too hot to touch. Currently I've removed the Intel Xeon Phi and repurposed the fan and shroud to direct air over the card.

I'll go on eBay and find a fan somewhere that will plug into one of the molex connectors.
