Just had a wild and unexpected conversation with a senior editor/VP from Carpenter Media.

My letter to the editor worried about Canadian newspapers being owned by a US company that is willing to edit copy without reporter-consent after political pressure.

She offered a (tepid) explanation and why my letter would not be published as is! INCREDIBLE.

Throughout history Black newspaper and magazines editorial cartoons contributed stunning truth, depicting experiences,, perceptions and historical insight. America chose to ignore them. Black voice was always marginalized.
