The Environmental Protection Division (EPD), in coordination with GEMA/HS, are aware and monitoring the incident to the chemical plant fire in Rockdale County. EPD, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and other partners are on the ground assessing the situation. EPD leadership is present at the State Operations Center and working to ensure safety and contain any potential hazards.
