I've had a wonderful week in Aarhus, only spoiled by the travel to/from.
Aarhus has always been a cycling city to me, but it feels for this visit that it is busier by bike than ever. Its great to see the one-way car filter on Vester Alle making that route safer.
Hope to see even more improvements and more people moving by bike next time
Going to bed now. I've been away for a week and need to cycle to work early tomorrow.
Chances that all my bikes have flat tires?
Place your bets!
Beautiful ride through the fens today. Everything covered with crystalized water (frost), just incredibly beatiful in the low winter sun.
Animal interests were herons, Highland Cows (major irony on the lowland fens), and the Konik ponies.
Too cold to stop and take pictures though - I think my right foot actually froze.
Just hit 5K on the e-bike in 26 months (including 11 weeks no cycling post knee op). It's been such a pleasure to have this Orbea Katu for all sorts of trips in that time.
At least one positive thing from this weekend of depressing election results.
Voting done...
And no I didn't just use the bike to go the 150m to the polling station ๐คฃ
Lovely bike ride today. it's been grey skies but dry for a couple of weeks so mud levels were low and the crunchy golden leaf factor was high. Glorious, but with the minor terror of what pothole lies beneath.
The benefits of stop-start exercise is yet another reason to cycle - you get the rest phase on the downhills (inter alia)!! #betterbybike
