I am hoping to pop in for at least one day of #Balticon next weekend, but I have been armpit-deep in aging parent medical issues since just after Christmas. This is also why I haven’t been active or visible pretty much anywhere since January.) I’m now dealing with my mom in the hospital with a serious post-surgical infection. At this point I’m just hoping to get in some barcon time Saturday night.
Whew, my @[email protected] schedule is packed! But it will be a ton of fun, too! I'm coming via Amtrak and hoping to get some writing done on the train. #balticon

My #balticon schedule has come in. Need to confirm a few things but there will be more soon.

Also, found Tellus under the bed this morning. Mostly because we had a chilly night and it's surprisingly warm under there.

My #Balticon schedule:

Fri 8:30 PM Monsters or Megafauna? The Science of Fantasy Creatures

Sat 10:00 AM Science Errors in SF Films

Sat 1:00 PM Who Cares About the Chosen One?

Sat 4:00 PM Joining or Resisting the Hive Mind?

@ScottEdelman Listening right now. You've done several at La Tavola as you said. You've also been to Sabatinos one block over, right? The last time I went to #Balticon we ate there with one of my wife's former students. The kid was 8 then and got spaghetti with one HUUUUGE meatball, similar size to their tiny head.

I want to go to Balticon every year. I love Baltimore but the timing never works. Still in the school year and a few weeks before we go to Heroescon, so rough for a family trip.

All Available Rewatch Items from #Balticon 59 are UP!
You've got til July 15th to view them.

And we are packed up and loaded out. Thank you for another wonderful Balticon!

We are 100% volunteer run, and so many of you were key for making this convention happen.

Of course, a convention would be nothing without attendees.

Thank you, and we hope to see you next year.

Sako Tumi and I left the hotel garage, with less than 30 seconds left on my prepaid parking. We couldn't have timed that better.

Home safe! Thank you all for making my #Balticon weekend AMAZING!

If we met or chatted, reintroduce yourself here and remind me of the context so I can try to keep everyone straight. I'm currently on 3 and 1/2 hours sleep.

Howdy!
This week I'm just back from an exciting Balticon where I saw a ton of old friends, made new ones, did many many panels, and launched Permutations: A Well World Anthology, new stories from Jack Chalker's Well World, where I have a story.

We even had cake at the launch party!
