#BaroqueDance practice. Working on this male solo published in 1700 by Feuillet. The music is from the "ballet royale" Flore (1669) by Lully, in which Louis XIV danced as the Sun (v. unsubtle propaganda).
Did Louis dance this choreography? It's tempting to believe so, but the delay between performance & publication is strong evidence against it. However, it's not implausible. Feuillet was accused of stealing the notation system - why not the dances too?
