The situation for refugees on all three routes to Europe (the Balkans, Belarus, and the Mediterranean) is becoming increasingly difficult and dangerous. The militarization of “border protection” is advancing inexorably.

We would like to clarify with you what the situation at Europe's external borders looks like at the moment, what interests states actually have in the (non-)migration of people into their territory, and what possibilities there are for supporting people in solidarity.

We will focus in particular on the situation of refugees in Poland and on the contradictions and similarities between Polish and German migration policies.

✊After the input, we will open the floor for thoughts and ideas on how internationalists and anti-fascists on all sides of the borders can respond to these worrying developments.

💬✊Gespräch mit Genoss*innen von PostKom, einer Plattform für Aktivist*innen in Ost- und Südosteuropa, über das europäische Grenzregime✊💬

Die Situation der Geflüchteten auf allen drei Fluchtrouten nach Europa (Balkan, Belarus und Mittelmeer) wird immer schwieriger und gefährlicher. Die Militarisierung des “Grenzschutzes” schreitet unaufhaltsam voran.

Wir möchten mit euch klären, wie die Situation an den europäischen Außengrenzen im Augenblick aussieht, was für Interessen eigentlich Staaten an der (Nicht-)Migration von Menschen in ihr Hoheitsgebiet haben und was es für Möglichkeiten gibt, die Menschen solidarisch zu unterstützen.

Einen besonderen Fokus werden wir hierbei auf die Situation der Geflüchteten in Polen richten und darauf, welche Widersprüche und Gemeinsamkeiten die polnische und die deutsche Migrationsplitik miteinander teilen.

✊Nach dem Input werden wir den Raum für Gedanken und Ideen öffnen, wie Internationalist*innen und Antifaschist*innen auf allen Seiten der Grenzen diesen besorgniserregenden Entwicklungen begegnen können.

In unserem Vortrag „Gegenmacht als strategische Sackgasse“ wollen wir uns auf die Auseinandersetzung mit dem Begriff der Gegenmacht konzentrieren.

In den letzten Jahren hat der Begriff eine breitere Verwendung gefunden.

Während Gegenmacht für die einen nicht mehr als eine griffige Worthülse darstellt, nutzen andere ihn, um ihr eigenes strategisches Konzept zu beschreiben.

In diesem Vortrag wollen wir uns der Frage widmen, warum man mit dem Begriff der Gegenmacht zwangsläufig in einer strategischen Sackgasse endet.
