What humanity needs now is punk rock philosophy.
A punk rock philosophy that reduces the big philosophical questions to their core.
And that is nothing less than the question of the best possible life for as many people as possible!
No dialectical treatises are needed to answer this question.
No materialistic analyses or idealistic embellishments are needed.
(Post)structuralist effusions and cybernetic systems theories were rubbish even as a child.
What is needed, on the other hand, is a punk rock philosophy that takes a stand, that intervenes to make a better world out of a bad one. For everyone!
This evening will feature an attempt at a punk rock philosophy lecture that has exactly that in mind.

(Post)Strukturalistische Ergüsse und kybernetische Systemtheorien waren als Kind schon scheiße.
Was dagegen nötig ist, ist eine PunkRock-Philosophie, die Standpunkt bezieht, die eingreift, um aus der schlechten Welt eine bessere zu machen. Für Alle!

The Istanbul Convention has been in existence since 2011, but Germany only ratified it in 2018.
At the same time, Germany presents itself as a bastion of women's rights and emancipation – so it doesn't quite fit the picture that violence against women continues to be the patriarchal norm.
Prevention receives virtually no funding – on the contrary, it will be cut in 2026 – and of all forms of violence, only physical violence in relationships is really recognised as such.
Protection against violence is also being used as a gateway for expanding the ‘security’ apparatus (more police, more isolation, more camera surveillance, more AI) and as a playground for racist narratives. The new Violence Protection Act also has these flaws.
How can we counteract this and set a course towards liberation from violence? How can we broaden our view of violence protection?

Die Istanbul Konvention gibt es schon seit 2011, aber Deutschland ratifizierte sie erst in 2018.
Gleichzeitig inszeniert sich Deutschland als Hort der Frauenrechte und der Emanzipation – da passt es eben nicht so ins Bild, dass Gewalt gegen Frauen weiterhin der patriarchale Normalzustand ist.
Prävention wird so gut wie nicht finanziert – im Gegenteil wird sie in 2026 gekürzt -, unter allen Formen der Gewalt wird nur die physische partnerschaftliche Gewalt wirklich als solche anerkannt.
Gewaltschutz wird auch als Einfallstor für den Ausbau des „Sicherheits“-Apparates instrumentalisiert (mehr Polizei, mehr Abschottung, mehr Kamera-Überwachung, mehr KI) und als Tummelplatz rassistischer Narrative. Auch das neue Gewalthilfegesetz hat diese Baufehler.
Wie können wir gegensteuern und Weichen in Richtung Befreiung von der Gewalt stellen? Wie kriegen wir den Blick auf Gewaltschutz ausgeweitet?
