Climate & War: On the connections between wars, climate destruction and the Gaza Gen•z|d

❌ It is no coincidence that, in the midst of the climate crisis, spending on social services, healthcare and education is having to give way to a massive arms race.

Nor is it a coincidence that constructive discussions at international climate conferences are repeatedly sabotaged by fossil fuel interests – as demonstrated, among other things, by the gas deal between Azerbaijan and Israel two years ago.

We want to highlight feminist and decolonial perspectives on the links between war & conflict, militarisation and the clinging to fossil fuels, as well as the connection to the Gaza genocide.

🔥 With guests from Klima4Palästina and the Stop Nakba Camp. Alongside the discussion, there will be information about the Stop Nakba Camp from 9–16 May in Hamburg and the Ende Gelände mass action from 28–30 May in the Ruhr region.

Klima & Krieg: Über die Zusammenhänge von Kriegen, Klimazerstörung und Gaza-Gen•z|d

❌ Dass mitten in der Klimakrise die Sozial-, Gesundheits- und Bildungsausgaben dem massiven Aufrüstungswahn weichen müssen, ist kein Zufall.

Genauso wenig, dass immer wieder konstruktive Gespräche bei internationalen Klimakonferenzen durch fossile Interessen sabotiert werden- was unter anderem der Gasdeal zwischen Aserbaidschan und Israel vor 2 Jahren zeigte.

Wir wollen feministische und dekoloniale Perspektiven auf den Zusammenhang zwischen War & Conflicts, Militarisierung und dem Festklammern an fossilen Energieträgern aufzeigen, sowie den Zusammenhang mit dem Gaza-Genozid.

Ein 6-jähriges Mädchen sitzt in einem Auto unter Beschuss der israelischen Streitkräfte in Gaza fest und fleht um Rettung.

Während sie versuchen, sie am Telefon zu halten, tun sie alles in ihrer Macht Stehende, um einen Krankenwagen zu ihr zu schicken.

💶 Der Eintritt erfolgt auf Spendenbasis – alle Einnahmen des Abends gehen an eine vertriebene Familie aus Gaza.
