Tried running BashCore live USB on an old Acer Aspire One D160 (2009) as a minimal home server (VPS-style).
Everything worked… until the Atheros Wi-Fi chip (ath9k) crashed the system in a loop.
Not BashCore’s fault — just unreliable legacy hardware.
Blacklisting the driver solved it. 👊
BashCore proves itself again:
💡 Lightweight
⚙️ Transparent
💻 Runs even on decade-old machines.

. I have struggle a bit with another WiFi card (returned to amazon, they send me the wrong reference). I replaced it with a third one, a QCA9565 chip that work out of the box with the ath9k free as in freedom driver.
