At #Arctic15 I was pull off the corridor to do a chat with #WithSecure CEO #AnttiKoskela. It was spontaneous and brief but one of the topics we touched upon was #AI.

We both agree that the battle against AI won’t be like The Terminator. Us versus them. It will be them versus them.

The context was security, but I think that applies to everything. We will be bystanders picking and choosing our wars, whether for king and country, or for a spam free mailbox, but the battles will be beyond us.

#Arctic15 has dropped the included food. That’s a major minus point now for the conference. It was a massive benefit to be able to quickly grab some finger food between meetings and sessions. They’ve gone to the bloody food truck system that others are doing, with queues and payments.

Unfortunately that means I’d be less inclined to come.
