So I've been skimming through some stuff by Isaac Pitman trying to get a read on the guy & he was one of those alphabetic principle spelling reform guys & so, predictably, did weird (awesome) stuff like write a phonetic version of the New Testament using the English Phonotypic Alphabet—an alphabet that he invented, right?
