I'd like to once again point out that Trump really really wants to be a dictator. So no surprise that he has single handedly started trade wars with hundreds of countries, blown up fishing vessels in the Caribbean, kidnapped foreign leaders, ignored court orders, launched illegal wars and likely will attempt stop the mid-term elections. There is zero oversight by the U.S. government and he does what he wants, or perhaps more accurately what his handlers want. The only thing slowing him down is his own stupidity and the incompetence of the team he chose to implement his executive orders.
To demonstrate the moronic level of his wanna be dictatorship, compare Hitler using the Olympics to showcase Nazi Germany versus Trump hosting a UFC bout on the White House lawn on July 4th.

Trump doesn't accept losing, despite an extensive history of losing court cases, bankruptcies or elections. He is likely to simply ignore the Supreme Court and, unless Republicans assist in enforcing the ruling, nothing is going to change. He thinks he's the king and all powerful. If his power is not checked on this issue, don't expect midterms to take place.

Democrats are betting heavily on the midterms and expecting anti Trump sentiment to give them control of both the House and Senate.
Trump keeps saying things out loud that indicate the midterms will be rigged in his favor, or there won't be elections at all.

Put aside all his illegal and immoral acts from his last year in office. Just focus on this week - illegal attack on a sovereign nation, kidnapping that nation's president, siphoning oil from that nation and declaring the revenue will be under his personal control, defending ICE goons who murdered an innocent American citizen, and arbitrarily increasing the U.S. military budget from $1T to $1.5T without any oversight. Where are the checks and balances? Where are sensible Republicans? Where the fuck are the Democrats?
