That concludes #YFXsYearEndList2025.
We've been spoiled with lots of good music in 2025. I can't be thankful enough to all the bands and artists, old and new; their music helped me a lot to get through some of my darker times.
Quite a lot of you have already named your favourites, but I'm very much interested in which albums you would have nominated in any of the categories above.
I'm looking forward to what 2026 holds in music (January-February already have new Karnivool, Textures, Urne, and Megadeth's final album). Unless heat death comes sooner than expected, see you same time next year, doing a similar list again.

It's that time of the year again when you name your favourite releases of the year (tbh some of you started circulating this tag as early as October iirc).
I'm not entirely convinced there should be an AOTY list. I mean there should be only one, not a list, but that's just me. Instead, I can name albums in different categories, and to satisfy most of you about the timing, one a day, Advent calendar-style - feel free to chime in and name yours.
There won't be too many surprises here, I've recommended most of the albums during the year.
