Any thoughts about the Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE 8.7 (2024)? I'm looking for an 8 to 9 inch tablet that's under $200USD and it seems to be the only new one. I know I'd be buying an imported global version and I'm in the US.

Is there anything one should be concerned with regarding Xiaomi/whatever? I assume their not being able to be sold here is more business than security, but I suppose I should ask.

The other one I'm looking at are the Lenovo Tab M9, but it's older.

Anyone have any better suggestions? Are there any Linux tablets worth a hoot?
