@strangefour I don't think there was a consensus on the overall quality of #XtheManWithTheXrayEyes as a movie. I personally thought it was shockingly good sci-fi and the story of a man driven to ruin by his own hubris and obsession.

Well, turns out you can do some cool stuff, but the power makes you crazy. Practically the first thing you do is kill your best friend. Then a carnie takes over your movie and you go along with it until the one person who respects you shows up -- and you're on the run again. Meanwhile the things you see are horrible and you can stop seeing but you don't really want to stop because you keep taking the drug that only makes it worse.

Anyway, in the end you're driven to gouge out the pain, but as we know from the final line that famously was cut, nothing can end your suffering.

Yikes. Quite the #Monsterdon !

if I say that this movies feels like there should be a longer and weird European comic version of it that is way more interesting if you can put up with the self-indulgence does that make sense?
