I dreamed I was hiring a public speaking coach to make my appearances more inspiring. Interview day came, I looked out the window, and saw a crowd of applicants waiting outside.
My first reaction was feeling awful because only one of them would get the job, and everyone else would have wasted their time for nothing.

Bin jetzt nach zehnjähriger Pause dreimal mit dem Flugzeug verreist und fand es grausam unkomfortabel und nervig und zum Abgewöhnen. Jetzt sitze ich nach längerer Pause im Zug (ICE) und es geht genauso anstrengend und überfüllt zu. Nur die Verspätung ist geringer und es gibt keine Sicherheitskontrollen. Mit dem Auto wäre der Stress vermutlich derselbe gewesen, so wie ich die A24 kenne. Da hilft wohl nur noch zu Hause bleiben, um jeden Verkehr zu vermeiden.
People say living abroad builds character and resilience. What they don’t mention is the emotional fatigue that builds from constantly trying to adapt and make sense of the world around you. Everything around you seems to move without friction while you float slightly above it, never fully syncing. Some days it’s funny; other days it feels like carrying an anchor that still doesn’t ground you.
