When I was quite young, I went through a phase of building plastic models by Revell. That's where I first learned this word. The store where I bought my supplies told my parents that they were concerned I might be sniffing the glue, so they made me quit building models. Flash forward 60 years: Walmart made me show an ID to buy epoxy. I pointed out that it wasn't the kind of glue you could sniff (huff). They looked at me with suspicion. 🤣
