#WearingMySewing wearing this one again. It came through the wash just fine and the fabric is getting good and soft. I think this is going to be a favorite, more for the fabric than for the pattern

a bright purple batwing top with interesting top yoke that includes the short sleeves.

the fabric has a curly vine pattern in a different sheen than the background? what's that called? The fabric is so good I keep wearing it even tho it's kind of a disaster.

it's got my first bias tape neckline - and I seem to have only sewn the first seam, or have sewn it backwards or something - but it magically is staying in the collar and working.

i had the biggest fight with this pattern - it didn't occur to me that they meant 60 inch wide fabric, so I bought 44 - and didn't have enough for the bottom flounce. which turned out fine! it's great over leggings which is how I live. I also thought the entire top was way too big, so I turned it inside out, safety pinned the straps up and some tucks under the armpits - wore that for a day and then replaced the pins with handsewing. love the result!

I made this dress long enough ago that I didn't think about this at first! It's from some random pattern I got cheap, the fabric was given to me by a friend, and i wore it at my (very low key) wedding a few months ago. It has an interesting folded neckline and princess seams, but it's made of a comfy knit.

I will try to get a picture to add to the thread later today!

Even tho i bought fabric for this specifically, I was an inch or two short on the sleeves somehow, and ended up with hemmed sleeves right in the armpit. it wears better than I was afraid it would!

i think this will work well with leggings when it cools off a bit.

it is kind of tent-like so I'm not sure how well it will shove under a hoodie.

things that went well: princess seams, darts, bias tape neckline
