This is the version most people know. I also have the original version, which is a very different vibe, a bit less catchy, a bit less danceable, but still a great song (and track two on this one's A side).
I wonder how many people got introduced to Ghost In The Shell through this song's video.

#nowplaying: Wamdue Project - King of my Castle 12"
The original version of this song is a lot more laid back than I remember, but still a very nice piece of house music. Note that this is _not_ what everyone remembers when they think of the GitS-inspired music video, that's Roy Malone's Radio Edit.
My used copy is in great shape and still was quite cheap. I guess the song is remembered only when it shows up, rather than being a true classic. I love it, either way :)

For many very personal reasons, this song holds a very special place in my heart. The well-known video remixing Ghost in the Shell (another favorite of mine) only emphasizes those.
On the surface, it's a simple electronic music bit, with a hook and a bridge and a beat.
But that is not why songs are special to people. It's appreciated, sure, but usually not the point.
The lyrics are the point for me on this one.
