The WaPo does not appear to be a serious news org anymore. Based on the content of their recent emails to me, and their demonstrated priorities. Shame on them.
CNN has always been more degraded in comparison, and with the recent events about their ownership changing hands I expect them to degrade further too.

@shriramk Literally just yesterday I read a column from Megan McArdle in #WaPo against a wealth tax that wildly conflates the housing market, where supply is inflexible, with consumption goods in general, like there is a finite amount of healthcare or cans of beans in the world.
And after their editorial board became hilariously bad, they laid off a trillion reporters covering interesting stuff around here I care about, so their crappy opinion pages aren't even saved by local coverage anymore.
