Tj H@iquaanyin this is nuts. Disney's counter is clearly untrue like wtf. Also, "forced arbitration clauses" on things like websites are the worst and should be illegal. Heck, I seem to recall multiple videos where Louis Rossman (is he on this platform btw?) ranting about them. This 100% needs to be thrown out with prejudice, but like someone else said - it's Florida so I really don't know how this'll go. Additionally, even if it's thrown out this time, there's very little preventing Disney from changing the language on the legal agreements on all their websites and services to expand the forced arbitration clause to be more generic. As dumb as all this is, the only argument right now is "that's not what the agreement he signed actually says" and "the person suing is not the one that signed the agreement"
Yohannon@iquaanyin Okay, I'm from Long Island, so this absolutely caught my eye... but what I find incredibly dystopian is the position that because they TRIED Disney+... an online streaming service... YEARS ago... that they are magically covered by the same terms for binding arbitration.
If this court dismisses the suit on those grounds I will have to reconsider stepping foot anywhere near a Disney owned location.
As like should we all.
