Vivian Stanshall:
🎵 Dog Howl In Tune
11 track album
Today’s listening is ‘Teddy Boys Don’t Knit’, the 1981 album by Vivian Stanshall.
This is my favourite solo album of old Viv’s, comprising all songs and without any spoken word pieces a la ‘Sir Henry’.
The album features former Bonzo bandmates Neil Innes and Roger Ruskin Spear, Richard Thompson plays guitar on several tracks and even Rick Wakeman plays on one song. The musical backing is top notch!
My favourite track is ‘Possibly An Armchair & Fresh-Faced Boys’.

From the eccentric mind of Viv Stanshall, visually annotated for your pleasure. And yes, that actually is Eric Clapton on the Ukulele🌟

(Andrew Male)
The man best known for his work with the Bonzo Dog Band was brilliant, volatile and met an untimely end. Now his unfinished work has been rescued.
The genius that is Vivian Stanshall🌟
