A couple of new components added to #VirtualM209 this week which connect some of the other parts together. Here's a quick explanation of how they work. Need to start thinking about how to do the print mechanism soon! #tnmoc #bletchleypark #cryptomuseum
#VirtualM209 - the letter selector dial now added. You would use this to set the letter you want to encipher/decipher, then turn the advance handle. The cage moves the dial on several turns, changing the letter being printed onto the paper. #tnmoc #bletchleypark

Lots of work done this week on #VirtualM209, the casing is now almost completed.
The ghosted part is a CT scan of a real machine by Deutsches Museum.
Don't know about you, but I'm really excited about this one, it's looking awesome already!

Some interesting shapes to work out, but trying to follow the Deutsches Museum CT scan as close as possible.
Couldn't help myself - had to try creating some Hagelin M-209 rotors from the Deutsches Museum CT scans this morning. I'm thinking a #VirtualM209 is a definite possibility. #tnmoc #bletchleypark
