I’ll be honest, I find the book “Torah Queeries” so-so. Some chapters are good but others are… not so good. But it’s nice to have a different take on each #parsha.

This one, when I posted it, I was thinking, “it’s rather egotistical to compare ourselves to Moses!” but I think in my stage of learning I’m still in the “what did this mean in the historical context?” and not, “what metaphors can we take from this?”.

This morning this makes more sense. #Vaera #QueerJews

Have read the #parsha for this week, #Vaera. Chatted with my partner about why God doesn’t just smite them all:
“What kind of story would that be? ‘We’re the Jews, God does everything we want.’”
