Belton House today, when you’re in England you should at least visit one National Trust site, we’re members after all.
Very nice house, gifted to the National Trust in the 1980’s, really nice gardens too. We had a lovely walk around. The classic BBC series Pride & Prejudice was filmed in this house too
Unfortunately my hayfever was troubling me a lot and after we got home I have signs of migraine coming up. So here I am in bed at 8:30pm. ☹️
When you are in England of course you visit some nice gardens. Today we went to Barnsdale Gardens, nicely laid out model gardens that gave us also some inspiration for our own small garden.
We did bring the average age of the visitors down a bit and increased male representation as well 🙂
Saturday 31st of May, our first day in the holiday house. We had a relaxing day of doing nothing except enjoy the sun, a bit of crockery shopping, charging the car and in the evening during dinner spot a flock of deer in the far end of the field next to the house.
After driving on we met a friend who lives on the way tonight holiday house and had lunch together.
Then on to our mini castle which is just charming. It has a little annex where the TV room is… this house has an actual TV room with pantry and toilet.
I am sure we will have a great time here.
The first night here we slept like a log, so dark and calm and a big comfy bed mmmm holiday bliss.
