🎃✨ PSL vs TEST FEST 🍺⚡
Fall just got an upgrade.
Yeah, pumpkin spice lattes are fine…
But Urban Family’s Test Fest? That’s a whole different vibe.
Here’s why Test Fest wins fall:
🍺 Real flavor, not sugar overload
This Wisen-style Festbier brings smooth malt character with a crisp, clean finish — no syrup needed.

🎃 Zero fake spices
They don’t need nutmeg to feel festive. Test Fest is brewed for beer lovers, not Instagram influencers.
🍂 Perfect for sweater weather
Whether you’re tailgating, leaf peeping, or just vibing by the fire pit — Test Fest is your new fall go-to.

📍Limited seasonal release
Catch it while you can — because unlike PSLs, this one's not gonna be around much longer.

More on #UrbanFamilyBrewing's Test Fest:
Out of the can, Test Fest produces a strong, off-white head that rests on a lake of light gold clarity. Receding, there remain plateaus and islands of lace inside the glass.
Swirling and sniffing, we recover notes of grapefruit, floral, and some sweet spiciness.
Sipping, we recover much of the same along with some fresh stirred hay, and biscuit readiness. Overall, Test Fest has a medium mouthfeel, some alcoholic warmth, and a sharp, earthen, finish that lingers.

Chalk it up a case of anxiousness, but we stopped by #urbanfamilybrewing to check out this year’s @seattlebeerweek beer, Group Project. Oh yeah! #SeattleBeerWeek starts #friday!
Brewed to be a German-style Light Lager, we sat down with a canned-edition. Tapped, if you wanna call it that,
More on #urbanfamilybrewing Group Effort German-style Light Lager.
Out of the can, Group Effort chalks up some serious off-white head, resting on a crystal-clear pool of pale gold. Receding, there remains wreath resting on the surface.
Swirling and sniffing, we recover notes of honey, cooking herbs, rich earth, and a bit of citrus.
Sipping, honey, and baked bread greet us, followed by cooking herbs and a bit of citrus, and a bit of spice. Overall, Group Project has a mild and (maybe) a medium mouthfeel, some alcoholic warmth, and a lingering (cloying) slickness.

Another day, another rainy-errand.
As part of a series of fruited sours, all whose names will end in Dawn, #urbanfamilybrewing’s latest in the family is their Apricot Dawn. On draft, because we showed up waaaaaaay too late(!), this beer produces a whipped-cream white head, resting on a pool that is pale orange and opaque. Receding, there isn’t much to say beyond a wreath lace inside the glass.
Swirling and sniffing, we recover notes of pungent apricot pulp along with some tropical citrus and a bit of sweetness.
Sipping, we recover notes of apricot pulp, tropical citrus, tart sourness, like medium to us, but you might call this “too sour” and a lingering sour finish. Overall, Apricot Dawn has a medium mouthfeel, noticeable alcoholic warmth, and a slight plastic’y finish that is expected when you use wild yeast strains. #seattle #washington #beer #photography

This weekend marks the official start of #Oktoberfest in Germany, so I thought I'd share some of the Oktoberfest beers I've been enjoying so far: Bobtoberfest from #HeaterAllenBrewing, Festbier from #BuoyBeer, Half Liter from #FortGeorgeBrewery, and Test Fest from #UrbanFamilyBrewing. Cheers! 🍻
Earlier this month, we sat down at #urbanfamilybrewing to check out three variants of their Lighthouse in the Woods series. With a barrel-aged stout base, the brewery collaborated with ingredients like Hazelnut, Orange Zest, or coffee from roaster #ondaorigins. Here are our thoughts. #Seattle #Washington #Beer #Photography https://www.instagram.com/p/CpHOGMiuGYB/
Northwest Beer Guide on Instagram: "Earlier this month, we sat down at @urbanfamilybrewing to check out three variants of their Lighthouse in the Woods series. With a barrel-aged stout base, the brewery collaborated with ingredients like Hazelnut, Orange Zest, or coffee from roaster @ondaorigins. Here are our thoughts. Regarding Lighthouse in the Woods with Hazelnut. Out of the can, 'Hazelnut creates a strong cap of khaki-tan head, resting on an ocean of darkness. Receding, there remains a wreath on the surface of the glass. Swirling and sniffing, one recalls notes of crushed hazelnuts and vanilla, along with dark roasted coffee. Sipping, there's an upfront of dark coffee, followed by baker's chocolate, vanilla, and finishing with hazelnuts. Overall, 'Hazelnut has a strong mouthfeel, a definite alcoholic warmth, and a cloying stickiness. Following 'Hazelnut, we gave the brewery's collaboration with ONDA a go. Out of the can, 'ONDA has those same visual attributes as 'Hazelnut. Swirling and sniffing, one recalls notes of German Chocolate, roasted coffee, and molasses. Sipping, there's an upfront hit of baker's chocolate, medium roasted coffee, bits of oak, and a dark fruit finish. Overall, 'ONDA has a strong mouthfeel, a definite alcoholic warmth, and a lingering stickiness. Finally, we finish with Lighthouse in the Woods, which includes the addition of orange zest. Out of the can, 'Orange Zest has the same visual features of the other series, including lacing. Swirling and sniffing, we recover notes of candied orange peels, dark chocolate, and roasted coffee. Sipping, we get an upfront hit of milk chocolate, candied orange peels which fade quickly, allowing notes of oak and roasted coffee to finish out the experience. Overall, Orange Zest has a strong mouthfeel, a definite alcoholic warmth, and a sticky bitterness. . . . #photography #photoftheday #beautiful #instamood #instadrink #instabeer #beer #beerme #beerlover #beerporn #beerstagram #craftbeer #beertography #craftbeerlife #drinklocal #winter"

@brucery hello! I’m about to visit Seattle for the holidays and love sour beers: I read online that #UrbanFamilyBrewing is the place to go, but would love to hear your opinion!

I’ll be sure to check out #CloudburstBrewing either way 🍻
