#MacUpdater  being sunsetted, I'm progressively migrating to other solutions to keep my apps up to date. Using #Updatest to try and track down updates, migrating (adopting) the process to #Homebrew for non-#Sparkle apps.
I'm now far more familiar with the multiple options for the "brew" CLI, but #WailBrew helps making it simpler by a mile!

#Updatest is an excellent Mac app for tracking updates to Mac apps, and the app I chose to replace #MacUpdater (which is no longer in development). Updatest leverages Homebrew to track as many apps as possible and provides quick access to app details (e.g. developer, version).

I was a beta tester of Updatest and am impressed with the developer's attention to detail and openness to feedback.

Updatest was officially released today and is only $US9.99 until 2026-01-31: https://updatest.app

Your new home for macOS app updates

Last day of the year and last day before #Macupdater goes dark. If you're looking for an alternative way to update #apps on your #Mac, take a look at #Updatest which relies on Homebrew, Sparkle, GitHub and the Apple Store for update detection. It's under heavy development, may still have some quirks, but works quite well for me, so more early adopters (one-time license, no subscription) certainly help. Happy New Year! 🥳 https://updatest.app
