If "Core Linux Kernel" was, is and should always be community driven, developed and adopted, thus also vetted inside the community, corps and governments can go their own route and "surveil" their own creations.

Steam being the better company right now.

I know it doesn't affect a lot of countries, as these kinds of clauses in terms of service aren't legal here. But when the enshitification of everything continues, it's nice to see a company backtrack and unshitify something they previously shitified.

Steam removing 'forced arbitration' and 'class action waivers' is good for the consumer in places like the US and other uncivilised countries.

Reading about the enshitification of hospitals and ER’s in the U.S. due to getting bought by private equity firms and goddamn as someone whose recently been harmed by this it’s very hard not to get violent about it.
