This zine extends the effort of the website by offering a situated reading of current developments and discussing their broader implications. It addresses researchers, educators, students, and anyone in higher education who recognises (or should recognise) that digital systems are not neutral tools but foundational conditions of academic work. Each issue structures around four components: an editorial essay to set the thematic frame, a commentary on recent developments, a brief engagement with relevant scholarship, and a practical FOSS tool or workflow that readers can try immediately. Published twice a year (Spring and Autumn).
