Google Quantum, le stringhe nascoste dell’universo sono state simulate

Un esperimento senza precedenti ha mostrato come particelle e “stringhe” invisibili interagiscono, fluttuano e persino si spezzano.

The whole 'universe as a simulation' thing has some weird implications to me that I feel are fantastic plot points just waiting to happen.

- Quantum entanglement? You mean global variable collisions?

- Parallel worlds? Nope. Other containers, or VMs, depending on how they set up our particular server. Yes, that means parallel world travels are possible, but you need a sandbox escape vulnerability. Or you find an API. Speaking of which...

- Zero point energy - Nope. This is the result of a bug wherein having an atmosphere variable of absolutely 0, without even ambient gas, isn't allowed due to how the underlying database was built. Oops.

- Wormholes: The larger physics engine has... a few bugs, resulting in some points of the universe referencing other points. Memory bugs, yanno.

- Black Holes: Another physics engine bug. Seriously, who coded this?
