I realized the real reason why I've been avoiding work on #Unitime: the combat mechanics were just scratching the surface of what's possible, and it was going to be underwhelming.

Making time travel *boring* would be an accomplishment of the worst kind.

I’ve been really, really stuck on #UniTime for a long time because I just couldn’t develop any intuition about the time travel without playing it, and the original UI was incomprehensible — play testing only lasted about 5 minutes before we both gave up on it. So it sounds backwards, but my strategy to get unstuck is to redo the UI, add juice, make it more diagrammatic, make it easy to play through the beginning scenarios.
