Second day of ISC and @ALLEA organised conference #UkraineScienceConf with a focussed workshop on integrating the Ukrainian research system into the European Research Area organised by Science Europe and the National Research Funding Agency of Ukraine.

First day of the ISC and @ALLEA #UkraineScienceConf over. Great talks and great engagement. Some points that were emphasised a lot were the need to avoid brain drain, the need to ensure career continuity for researchers in Ukraine (80% are still in Ukraine), the need for flexible funding models and the importance of reforming the academic system in Ukraine away from the very top-down Soviet model towards a more European one with better integration of research and teaching.
