UXpin is a bit of a hot mess. I love their promise of design with actual coded components, but in practice, it doesn’t work so well. Sadly :(
Say what you will about @Figma’s evil pricing strategy, but their product runs so smoothly that it’s easy to forget how hard it is to achieve that.
OK, I have to find another way to produce complex prototypes for flows with multiple steps and choices at each step. Any ideas? 😊
Spent the whole day patching together Figma spaghetti. Went all manual on it. Brutally exhausting.
I know there are variables and logic and stuff, but in the end, I suspect it only keeps the canvas cleaner, and that's it. There won't be visible spaghetti, but there will be the same number of clicks and the noodles, only of the invisible kind.
Tomorrow, I'll give UXpin a chance to shine 🤞

- at regular intervals e.g. as part of your agile flow
- after significant updates
- when fixing usability, a11y & performance issues
