I asked Enbridge directly if they would have the natural gas capacity to serve the two proposed data centers in Iron County. While they did not give a direct answer, I can read between the lines that the answer is "hahaha no".

"Enbridge Gas is committed to serving all our customers safely and reliably. As part of our business strategy and commitment to our customers, we do not take on new load or customers that would adversely impact service to our existing customers.

"Additionally, we monitor growth across our service area in Utah, Wyoming, and Idaho and plan strategically for system enhancements and upgrades to ensure we can meet current and future demand. This long-term planning approach is central to how we operate the system."

Translation? Whoever is already here comes first, they aren't going to raise our rates for pay for a new, large user, and they aren't likely to run around drastically increasing supply for flash-in-the-pan hype of the moment projects like this. #utpol
