concerning the use of #usbc to #usba adapters and the effect that can have. The section in question is "Testing using USB C input via USB A output from solar panel to prevent drain of battery by the panel" in this #meshtastic #solarnode build test. Solar store & forward pole node testing 24/7 operation
Store & forward solar node on telescopic 9 m pole, a series of test builds. Aim: 24/7 operation testing using off-the-shelf components making it easy to implement. Jackery Explorer 100 Plus based - did not work when plugging the USB C male connector from the solar panel directly into one of the USB C ports of the battery because the panel drains the battery flat when there is no sun shining e.g. when indoors being tested. Jackery was contacted about this and they said that USB C is bidirect...
