Most "broken charging port" diagnoses are wrong.
A USB-C cable fails months internally before showing external damage — the copper strands break at the housing, the insulation looks intact. Your phone flashes the charging icon but nothing charges the battery.
Before port replacement, try a new cable, compressed air in the port, force restart. That solves most cases.
