Federal individual income taxes
The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) was passed in 2017 and was first effective during the 2018 tax season. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) of 2025 made some of those changes permanent, tweaked others, and introduced new tax code provisions.
