John Gordon 📷Won’t get much love here on #pixelfed but of all the softball photos I take (and I shot almost 1,000 today in two scrimmage games), these catcher shots with the dust cloud coming from the glove are my favorites.
The trick to these with the Canon R7 is electronic first curtain (to avoid rolling shutter distortion of the bats and ball, less of an issue for this shot), 1/2500 sec shutter speed and let the camera worry about aperture and ISO (this ended up at f/3.2 and ISO 200).
