Normally when I’m shooting photos at sports events, the background is out of my control and either distracting (spectators, fences etc) or just plain boring. The Fog Five ultimate tournament this weekend was on Ocean Beach in San Francisco and in the four games I shot photos of, I had the amazing graffiti beach wall, Victorian houses, modern buildings and the vegetation covered cliffs as backdrops to the photos.
