I usually walk with the dog(Maron) to Hieda Park next to a little river. But when it's not too hot it's nice to walk down to the bigger river (OkiMizu River). There are two parks(NakaBaru Park and ShinBaBab Park) on the way to the river. ShinBaBa park had a downed tree too. This tree's trunk has been getting hollow for a while, it seems. I remember noticing it before: Not the sort of tree you want to place a tent under. A few months ago(last year?) a young couple died at a camp site when an ailing tree fell on their tent.

Something fascinating about the downed park trees after a typhoon. I wish I had the permission and the time to treat them right, to saw and chop them up for firewood, maybe take some of the more beautiful and promising sections to people who can carve and sculpt wood.
