Twitter is the worst major social media platform when it comes to LGBTQ+ safety, says GLAAD
All major social media platforms do poorly at protecting LGBTQ+ users from hate speech and harassment — especially those who are transgender, non-binary or gender non-conforming, the advocacy group GLAAD said on Thursday. But Twitter is the worst. In its annual Social Media Safety Index, GLAAD gave Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Twitter low or failing scores, saying the platforms don’t do enough to keep their users safe. That said, most mainstream platforms improved from a year earlier. Twitter, which was taken private by Tesla CEO Elon Musk last October, was the only exception.
Twitter "has allegedly stopped paying for Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services (AWS), which host tools that support the platform's safety measures".
"Not only did both its brand safety chief and its trust and safety chief recently resign, but Twitter has also seen hate speech surge....most concerningly, Twitter failed to remove child sexual abuse materials (CSAM) while hosting buyers and sellers"

Elon Musk is seeking funding for Twitter.
Not some biz dev team at Twitter, Elon Musk's personal "family office" (i.e. the ppl he hires to manage his $). He's offering shares of Twitter for $54.20.
And he sold $3.6B of Tesla shares earlier this week.
