@kawunngg @drumming hi, I’ve been writing electronic music as a hobby since early college but had always been very rhythm-focused. I got started with drums via plastic guitar gaming. I got hooked on Rock Band playing at a friend’s house and, having never owned a console, I finally got a PS3 in 2010 with my partner requesting two conditions “to approve the purchase”: that I got The Doors pack for RB3 and The Beatles Rock Band. #TwistMyArm
Got an ION kit but mainly played in the game when friends were over.
In 2015 I sold and gave away everything because we moved overseas. But every once in a while I’d make a comment about wanting to get a real e-kit to learn to play. In the meantime, I had started to rebuild a home studio and ended up with a Push 2 after earning a little money from producing some tracks. I started to practice on it using Melodics, but the “I want to get a drum kit” thoughts only got worse when I noticed Melodics had a drum mode.
Finally my wife had enough and gave me some money for my birthday to help buy one 😍 and I found a used TD17-KV which I upgraded with a VH-10 and a ride.

Still practicing with Melodics (trying 20-40 mins / day) but really should find a teacher to help with small details.

It's cold and my head hurts. I may be forced to take a nap.

No grilling today with this rain. The pub will have to do.
