I was planning on a shorter ride today but I was feeling good so I kept going for about 44 miles. I found a fountain on the St Paul waterfront where one could cool off if one were so inclined. (Did it open recently? I didn't notice it before today.) A couple of birds were enjoying it. I came across a couple of painted turtles; one of them was by Lake of the Isles digging a hole, I assume to lay eggs, and another was on the road in Lillydale park.
