A standard talking point of Republican politicians is that the federal government should not interfere with local officials because local officials know best for their citizens.  

Yet, when it suits Republican politicians at the state level, local officials and voters' wishes are swept aside whenever the state officials think they have a good reason, locals be damned.  

Republicans are actually a minority party in Florida, but they've run the state for 30 years through gerrymandering, voter suppression, and voter intimidation. Not surprisingly, they are as corrupt as the day is long and consider themselves above all laws and decency. They are garbage and it is long past time to take them out. #TurnFloridaBlue
