The hard work in scouting has finally given me clues. Several scrapes in a line on a field edge and an area of recent rubs. Soon, I'll have a favorable wind for this area AND a cold snap which common wisdom says gets the deer moving.
I don't know what the buck looks like that's run this area, I'm not running cameras, but the next hunt here should be exciting!
And I saw a turkey feather on the same field! I have archery turkey tags too...
It's a long way until Thanksgiving, when turkeys show off all they got.
Parading everything they've ever gobbled, one feeds the entire lot.
To all the boys and girls out there, roaming this majestic plot, time to sight 'em in.
The family feasts, or starves to death, you only get one shot!
