Dairy farm kid turned geek, regretting getting into tech despite how well it pays the bills. Spend all day explaining how computers work to people that get paid to know it, but don't.

At pretty much any moment of the day, I would rather be outside.

Another question for #BikeTooter

Has anyone tried the Microshift drop-bar levers for Shimano Alfine 11 hubs? My Soma Wolverine is setup with flat bars and a flat bar shifter, but thinking about going drop/gravel bars with those Microshift shifters.

Just want to see if anyone has any experience with those to see if it would be a good/bad idea.

I also see JTek has a bar end shifter for Alfine 11s too...which could also work, but prefer integrated levers.

Today's "why do I do what I do?" is trying to get SMB on Win2022/2025 servers moving data fast over a 10gbit link with high latency.

It's like, "nah, 256KB is all I'll scale up the TCP window. No need for more like anything else talking across it." thisisfine.meme

Oh shit. #wiwx
Salsa Vaya seems to check the boxes too. Appears the MKE Bicycle doesn't. Misread.

Good affordable steel road bike frames? IS/post disc brake and rear rack mounts. Right now Milwaukee Bicycle is winning the search game.

My kid has claimed my nice carbon road bike. I'm now of the age where smooth steel is where it's at.

AI Cultist: Here's my prompt to organize my day and saves me a whopping few seconds every day. Everyone should do this.

Me: That's great; looks like it's very personal and with what I do that would have no value.

AI Cultist: Yes, but it could be useful for you!

Brains are fucking mush; no other way to explain it.
