The idea is great, the dialogues fell short several times.
ATHENA is a 10/10 villain, but she needed to be more than just a program following orders. The scene of her getting distracted by water drops wasnt my cup of tea, I feel she should have already had her own opinions on the world. Athena argued about they(the programs) wasting a thousand lives for the grid and none of these times that were outside meant anything to her? I dont buy it.
It could have been a better story-telling, better choices on details (such as the helmet staying on) for most of the movie, maybe the scene where ARES comes back after Flynn's interaction showing his face would have highlighted the humanity attained. Just to give some uhm, anticipation for the audience.

Anthony, of courseJust finished #TronAres. Quite enjoyed it, honestly. Don't see what the hate was all about with #JaredLeto. Unexpected nostalgia hit, mind you. Soundtrack doesn't have the quality of #TronLegacy, unfortunately, but the film is pretty cool.

🖖 Osunac 🖖Como amante de "Tron" (1982), en su día tuve la oportunidad de ver en el cine "Tron: Legacy" (2010), por lo que no me podía perder la esperadísima "Tron Ares" (2025) de Joachim Rønning.
He de decir que me ha gustado mucho. Todo lo que tenga que ver con el universo Tron me apasiona.
Quizás no posea el aura que "Tron: Legacy" tuvo en su momento, quizás el guion no sea el mejor o su banda sonora no esté a la altura de las creadas por Wendy Carlos y Daft Punk, pero he disfrutado como un niño.
Me parece una gran historia con unos protagonistas que están a la altura. Con un Ares que recuerda a un Nexus-6 de "Blade Runner", cuya aspiración es la de seguir viviendo, pero nunca a costa de los demás, y con unos guiños a "Tron" (1982) que un fanático puede disfrutar enormemente.
Dejan la puerta abierta para una cuarta entrega, donde Quorra podría hacer acto de presencia y donde un nuevo Shark haría de las suyas.

chris actualJust watched #tron3. It was amazing visually as you would expect. Story is a little convoluted and contrived, but it had great action, a great score (although ffs guys you don't need to play Trent Reznor that loud over scenes), and the aforementioned incredible digital worlds are stunning. Seeing it at a theater was nice. Hope it does well in theaters so we get a fourth (stay for an interesting extra scene)
