I have a question about the bobbin winder on these Singer treadle machines (mine is a 1904).
The mechanism is a bit stiff on mine, and I don't see how to disassemble it "enough" to make it rotate freely. What do you-all do to maintain your bobbin winder mechanisms?
Ignoring the bloodsucking vampire, it looks like from this illustration that I really should have mounted the sewing machine wheel above the front (forward) part of the treadle on my treadle table, for better traction. #treadle #sewing
Lol failed to learn from lessons on the last project, and did not adjust tension (again) for 4 pieces of fabric instead of just two. Good thing these are just pajama shorts. Treadle machine is kicking my butt LOL. #treadle #sewing
Maybe the first and last time you will ever see someone who has rigged up a treadle to generate DC power. (Not very efficient! A bicycle is a lot easier). Good exercise though, ha ha. #humanpower #treadle
